The Community Garden needs many people to help dig potatoes! We will gather at the garden on Tuesday, September 7, at 9:00 AM. The potato crop is very big, 10 rows by 100 feet! So if you can help, bring some buckets and a pitch fork (if you have one) and don’t forget your gloves and your water bottle. Spirit Fest will soon be here! All are invited to participate in the celebration on Sunday, September 12th. Come for a pancake breakfast served in the Fellowship Hall from 8:00-11:00 AM; a free will offering is appreciated ($3.00 is suggested). The Ministry Fair for the older kids and lots of NEW games for the younger kids (including Beetles Baseball Pitching game and the Burger King Castle), will be on 9th Street between Cedar & Douglas Streets from 9:00 AM-12:30 PM. Bingo and popcorn for all ages on the driveway. NEW: Pie Auction Challenge! Several teams of 2 have voluntarily agreed to have a pie tossed in their face! If you’d like to see who the teams are and would like to contribute to a pie in their face, simply stop by the LOVE, Inc. table and drop your money in the bucket of the person you wish to see the pie tossed at! The Challenge: The teammate raising the most money will be the one receiving the pie in the face … the other teammate gets to toss the pie … so be prepared to be persuaded! Pie tosses will follow each service at 9:30, 10:45, 11:30 and 12:10. All money raised will benefit Love, Inc. All are invited to help celebrate this kick-off for the fall ministries!

This is part of the “Book of Faith” series. We will look at 6 big questions posed by believers who have long loved this book of poetry. We will meet on Mondays, September 13 through October 18. You choose the time ... 9:00-10:15 AM, or 6:30-7:45 PM. There is a fee of $8.00 for the study book. (Look for the YELLOW sign up sheet beginning August 14/15 at the Welcome Center).
This is a new group for women who want to gather for conversation on scripture. You do not need to be a Bible scholar to join the group. We will dig together into the Bible to study topics and questions that the group will choose at the first session on Wednesday, September 29th. We will meet from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM every other week. People are invited to bring their lunch and join us in the Family Room. Our first scripture to dig into will be Romans, chapter 12. No fees apply. Please sign up by September 15 on the pink sheet at the Welcome Center.
