The loss of a child is life-changing and can make you feel alone and unsupported. This group is an opportunity for parents who have los a child/children of any age come together to support each other in conversation, education, and faith growth as we express our grief and share memories of our loved ones in a safe environment. You do not need to be a member to attend – all are welcome. If you have any questions, please contact Pam Miller.

All of us, at one time or another during our lives, will experience the death of a much-loved friend, partner, or family member. How we manage that loss is different for every person. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. If you are struggling with the loss of a loved one, let others support and walk beside you.

This group is open to all members of First Lutheran, focusing on all types of caregivers from all walks of life. The person you care for can be in your home, their home, or a community living facility. The purpose of this group is to provide education, support, and resources to those providing care for loved ones. No registration is necessary!

4th Tuesday Monthly | 2:30-3:30pm | First Lutheran Church

 

The Alexandria Area Parkinson’s Support Group has been meeting since 1998. This group is for those who have been touched by Parkinson’s Disease in one way or another, from caregivers, to loved ones, to those living with Parkinson’s Disease. The meetings begin with a full group time of education followed by breakout discussion groups. There are two discussion groups: those with Parkinson’s Disease, and those who are caregivers and loved ones.
