I started coming to the Wednesday night programming with one of my close friends and fell in love with the culture of the church. I served on the last call committee and lead small groups on Wednesday nights. 

I am a middle child with an older brother who is 18 and younger sister who is 13. We love to go out on the lake and be part of one another’s sports and activities.

I am excited to go through the process again and see the impact it’ll make on the church. I look forward to learning more about the church, grow in faith, get close to the other members, and learn a few life lessons along the way. 

 

 

How long have you been a member? 53 years!

Which worship service do you attend most frequently? Sun at 8:30am

Over the years I’ve taught Sunday School, VBS, confirmation, belonged to couples’ Bible studies and women’s Bible studies, served as a chairperson for service groups for over 20 years, along with serving on the altar guild, the worship board, and decorating committee.

My husband, Mike, and I have 3 grown children who were actively involved with First Lutheran activities as they grew up. Mike and I are retired and enjoy golf and lake life.

I feel honored to be asked to serve on this committee and am excited to be involved with the process. I’m eager to see who we meet and prayerfully choose to fill these positions.

I’ve held many positions from council chair to co-chairing capital campaigns, along with a number of committees. My family is also actively involved on hospitality and service teams. 

My wife, Joyce, and I have 3 grown daughters and 10 grandchildren.

I am excited to be able to be a part of calling two new pastors. After having served on the last call committee, this will be a continuation of what hopefully will give us pastors for a long time into the future. We have much to offer at First Lutheran and it is exciting to be able to find people who can help us expand our vision and service beyond where we’re currently at.

My involvement at FLC started 22 years ago when I began attending as a frequent visitor. My wife, Janice, and I were married at First Lutheran fifteen years ago. During this time I’ve been involved as an usher, counting team, communion server, delegate to synod annual meetings, food and fellowship groups, feed my sheep, funeral hospitality, on the ambassador team, and on the worship board.

I am a retired business executive with 35 years in the food industry. I have 2 married children and two grandchildren. Janice has 4 married children and 8 adult grandchildren.

I am excited to be a call team member for such a dynamic congregation. I’ve watched and participated in the progress that has brought FLC to what it is today. I do not accept lightly the responsibility of ensuring that we equip the church to carry out our mission of being a “place where faith and life meet through worship, learning, and serving”.

Which worship service do you attend most frequently? Sun 8:30 & 10

Over the years I’ve been involved in a variety of aspects of FLC including children’s ministry teacher, VBS, confirmation mentor, family ministry board and events, couples’ and women’s Bible studies, worship volunteer, Green Team, Living Nativity, and various music groups.

My husband, Pat, and I have been thrilled to celebrate our wedding and the baptisms of all three of our children at First Lutheran. Our children are Sam (14), Millie (11), and Charlotte (3).

I am honored to be part of this process within our church! We have an exciting opportunity to seek candidates that are a great fit for our congregation and the priorities that we uphold. I look forward to learning with the entire committee about the process and meeting our potential candidates. I also look forward to meeting and listening to other congregational members through this process to hear a variety of perspectives about the strengths and needs of FLC so that we may continue to learn, grow, and serve together!

 

 

How long have you been a member? 10 years

Which worship service do you attend most frequently? Sun at 10:00am

I’m on the learning board and my husband is active in the worship band. Our kids participate in the children’s ministry.

My husband, Joel,  and I have two children, Carter (5) and Marlie (3). We love being outdoors hiking, biking, and golfing. We also love worshipping together at First Lutheran.

I am excited to get to know others on the call committee and members of the congregation. I’m looking forward to working together to find more great leaders for our church. I’m excited for what the future holds for First Lutheran!

 

 

How long have you been a member? 2 years

Sundays at 10:00am and Wednesdays at 6:15pm

We serve in many ways including communion, greeting, serving meals, participate in First Lutheran Habitat for Humanity build days, and I hosted a Financial Peace class here at church.

My wife, Melissa, and I have been married for 28 years. We have a daughter, Madison (21), and a son, Ian (17).

Being able to learn the process, meet the candidates, and hopefully help shape the future impact on our congregation and community.
