God has entrusted us to care for the earth and each other. The earth is our home and we have a responsibility to make sure it is taken care of and will be here for generations to come. The First Lutheran Care for Creation team emerged out of congregation members’ desire to take simple steps as a church to make an impact. Check out some of their initiatives and ministries outlined below.

May 13, 2024 – First Lutheran Council voted and approved the official Care for Creation covenant – view here.

FLC Community Garden
-Partner with the Outreach Food Shelf
Recycle/Compost/Trash
-Volunteers “guard the garbage” to ensure items go in the correct receptacles
-New signage made to reflect items that FLC uses regularly
Prayer Services
–Monthly services on the third Tuesday at 6:30pm
-Purpose is to pray for the world, for peace, for all leaders, for creation, and for God’s presence in our lives.
