Who We Are
The purpose of Community Preschool is to provide an early childhood social and educational experience for kids ages 3-5. Our emphasis is on the abilities and interests of each child. Our goals are to develop a love of learning, give children a sense of self-confidence in the classroom, provide opportunities to express themselves and follow directions, and prepare them for their next step in the world of education.
Our school days include experiences in math, reading, music, science exploration and creative art. At Community Preschool we realize how important a child’s first school experience is. We provide a warm, accepting Christian environment with activities in which each child can be successful. We emphasize developing social skills, Kindergarten readiness, and having fun as we learn!

*Friday mornings | 8:05-11:20am – this class is offered as a one-day option or as an add-on to either the Mon/Wed or the Tues/Thurs class making it a 3 day option.

Sunshine Room – 4 and 5 Year Olds

Full Day Class Option
M/W/F morning and M/W afternoon combo class – 4 & 5 year olds
Mon: 8:15am-3:15 pm AM class – Lunch Bunch – PM class
Wed: 8:15am-3:15pm AM class – Lunch Bunch – PM class
Fri: 8:15am-3:15pm AM class
This class consists of 2 full days and 1 half day of preschool. Tuition cost includes Lunch Bunch.
Before School Care
Our Breakfast Buddies program is available daily for students attending our morning classes to better accommodate parents’ work schedules. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:15am for a fee of $5 per time. Children may eat breakfast at home or bring their breakfast to school. We have a special table used only for eating together. This program is held in the Sunshine Room and offers art, story time, playtime, etc. This can be used on an as-needed basis. No previous notice is necessary.

Play, Explore, & Learn
Children get to create, move, discuss, observe, sing, and discover. We have open-ended toys to allow for imaginative play, exploration, and discovery. Teachers create their own curriculum based on the Early Childhood Indicators of Progress (MN Early Learning Standards) and based on the interests and abilities of the children in their classes.
We encourage parent involvement at Community Preschool. Parents may stop in to read a story or help with a project. Many times we have parents who are fire fighters, police officers, doctors, dentists, etc. in our community who come and share their time with us telling us about their jobs.
